Ocker,
I reckon you have to tell us more now that you have said that little but provocative statement! Now don't you leave us hanging!

It's now 28 years and I attribute it all to learning 2 words
Yes Dear!

Arrrr Ocker, My husband would agree. :giggle:
As my mother and grandmother before her once told me, and I keep telling my husband and two boys.
There is no such thing as nagging, if you did what you were asked the first time, we wouldn't need to repeat it. :cheesy:

Ocker - 'Yes dear' Ahhh, my two favourite words LOL

Congrats on 28 years!

I married at 19, and when told (repeatedly) by my 'friends' that I was 'throwing away my freedom' I had perfected the reply: "I'm not throwing away my freedom, I'm stealing someone else's!" :clap3:

6 years now and happy as ever :-)

Best wishes for the wedding, Sassi - sounds like an amazing time is planned!

Well, I can just top you with married at 19 (funny that) and together for 29 years just this April. Also just about to become "empty nesters' :D Unfortunately, my husband didn't learn the "yes dear" phrase - he's just deaf when he needs to be!

Hi everyone!

Thanks for all your well wishes  I can tell you I am getting nervous... I am leaving for Sweden in less than 7 wks... and I just found out that my future sis in law (Lada's daughter) is planning a hens last wkend in may... Now that is scary 8-[

Swedish wedding is similar too Aussie one, except the bride isn't given away, a decision to get married is looked upon as a decision the bride a groom take together, as they are equals, so hence they walk down the aisle together. And apparaently the priest won't say 'you may kiss the bride' instead we just have to steal a kiss at an appropriate moment :-) And in Sweden its not soo common to have a large bridal party, I don't have any bridesmaids and Luke doesn't have any groomsmen, its just the two of us and my 10yr old niece as a flower girl. It will be so lovely, I really can't wait  You must all be getting sick of hearing about this, but I promise only to torment you for another 7 wks, muuuuhahahahahahaa (evil laugh) :cheesy: :cheesy:

No Sassi, your not boring us, we would love to hear more, and see lots of pictures when you return.
I haven't been married as long as some of the others, eight years of try before you buy, before we were married. Been together 25 years in total and wouldn't trade him in. :giggle:
All the best on the day and in the future.
