science board games

Post by Jen1 »

Does anyone know of any good science board games? English and maths have quite a few to choose from and we would like to provide some for the science students.
I have found a couple on the internet:
Cogno deep worlds game
Cogno Alien Adventure game
Mars 2020
and
Planet Quest Board game
Has anyone seen these?
Any help appreciated
Ta

My favourite science shop, Profbunsen, has a couple of Science Trivia type games. They do mail order, and you can look them up under that name. Questacon in Canberra also has a whole bunch of games, and they too do mail order, especially to schools. However, they are having a web-site update, so call them and ask to speak to the shop. They have a catalogue, and lots of fun stuff.

Cheers, K 8-)

Chemical Bingo, three different types, Question Bingo, following questions contain characteristics of elements contined in the periodic table. Symbol Bingo, a symbol is selected from a container and the name is read out, the students have to convert the name to the symbol and mark off the smybol on their card.
Atomic Numbers Bingo, a card contains the atomic numbers of the elements.

This was put together by Krystyna from St Marys some years ago. I will need your fax number to fax it to you.

Hi Sue
I would be most grateful if you could fax me copies of your chemical bingo games, our Yr.10 general classes are very difficult!!! So I'm thinking that the bingo games will appeal to them as it won't seem like they are learning!!! Reverse psychology,do you think it will work? Worth a try anyway.
Fax No. is: 6882 4332
Many thanks
