Hi all
My first post for this year!!! Very busy. So I'm asking you if there is a recipe for Peptone solution? I can't find one anywhere. Need to make 200mls. 5 classes of Yr. 11 Biology this year.Must have something to do with the kids having to stay at school till 17yrs.

The Laboratory has a recipie for peptone water on page 201 not sure if it's what you after though,
10g peptone
5g sodium chloride
1 litre distilled water
dissolve ingredience in distilled water by heating. Adjust pH to 7.2 using sodium hydroxide and dispense. Sterilise at 121 degrees at 100kPa pressure for 15 mins
