Fibre Optic Lamp

Hi All,
Recently, our Fibre Optic Lamp grew legs and walked away! Now, the Physics teachers want to show the lamp to their classes, as well as the Year 9 Science teachers doing the Light and Optics topic. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new lamp from? The previous one ran on 3xAA batteries in the base, with a good length(about 30cm) of fibre optic cables.
Appreciate your feedback :-)

I actually bought a small hand-held lamp at Woolworths a couple of years back. It runs on batteries and I found it in the party aisle. Does the trick and was only a few dollars.

I was thinking i had seen them at GO LO or similar shops..
I just had a look at our and it had no manufactuerer's address etc on it, so i think thats where it came from.. It was a UFO 'brand'

PS Hi Ann - glad to see you post ;)

There's a great on-line shop called CoolThings. When you look it up be sure to choose the Australian site. I recently bought some of those fibre optic torches, and a battery operated lamp. We pull out the removable wand of fibre optics and hold them in front of a LED torch, then bend it around etc.

There's an option to add a little picture when you begin a new topic. I'm pretty sure that's all it is. Oh, I just noticed you can put it on for any post :) look up as you reply and you will see 'post icon'...
