UV lights

Post by bindi »

We have a very old UV lamp which I know nothing about.. how much UV it gives off and its bulb is big like a spotlight and has 3 prongs. (hate using it)
So... while shopping in Woolies the other day, I bought a 'Party UV' light bulb.
*It too has no info except for 20W UV =100W white light
*Warning Party light generates UVA
So does anyone know, is this is strong UV and do I need UV glasses 8) , cant find any info in CSIS  . I dont have a UV meter. :whistling2:
Could be cool on "open day" with dry ice with the bass cranked up and some fluro glow sticks! Im getting excited!!!.......but would hate to blind everyone!
Any info would enlighten me :cheesy:

Hi All,

This UV light will give off the correct wavelength required, and will have no lassting effects with exposure to it. Although I do recommend glasses if you are being exposed to it for lengthly periods (period after period). But safe in any other case.

Cheers,
