Can anyone tell me where I can purchase prepared Nutrient Agar plates?

I know Southern Biological sell them in packs of 10.

MED3.30 Nutrient Agar Plates $17.10 for 1-4 packs.
Or $15.05 per pack of 10 when ordering 5+ packs.

Coxy, check with your local hospital pathology department first.

Can anyone tell me what the shelf life of the prepared agar plates are and are they to be stored in the fridge or not?

Hello there,
I have kept agar plates in the fridge for 3 weeks. When teachers require them,I bring them to room temperature before being used. I have done this for years with no problems so far!!!

I bought some from Southern Biological last week and there is a use by date of 8/5/12, mind you I have some old ones left from last year and they have a use by date of 5/12//11 and they worked fined. I do the same as Mother store and store in the fridge.\
