Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone has come across acrylic clear

the supplier, these burettes are great!
Thanks

Do tell! What kind of great are they. Last year I dropped a drying rack with our burettes all drying in it :blush2: :cry2: Lost a few, and was able to just replace the tips on a few more. But plastic sounds good.

I just googled them (out of curisosity) and it seems you can only purchase them in the US. There were only a couple of matches when searching Australia only, and they weren't real matches. Just close. Sorry I can't help you but if you get an answer I would be interested too!! Sounds good :)

Don't they have problems with caustic soda? do they cloud over?

I think you're meant to put the acid in the burette not the NaOH for that reason. NaOH will gunk up the glass with the teflon stoppers too.

Alcohols are not a good idea in plastic burettes either. They dissolve, as one teacher found out.

We haven't had any problems with ours, NaOH is the only thing they get filled with. From memory they're about 3 years old. :coffee:

We have them here. They were already here when I started so couldn't tell you where from but I'm pretty sure Labtek and Westlab sell them. We use NaOH in ours alot (only 0.1M) and they are fine. Easy to clean too.
