Post by mnguyen »

Hi everyone,
I would like to introduce myself. I have just joined Chemtalk and this is all new to me, am still finding my way around the site.A bit about myself, been working as a Labbie for several years now, previous life was in commercial industry.I think this is a great way to communicate, exchange ideas, cause being a labbie gets somewhat lonely sometimes! dont you agree?
what a great forum this is!!!!

I get Chemtalk "up" each morning along with other favourite sites, so it is always at hand, as it is such a useful site. Welcome Tekie

Hello Tekie,
Yes it does get lonely being a labbie. We don't fit with teachers, we don't fit with the ladies in the office, or library, or anywhere. No one seems to understand why we love our job. They just don't want to know when I get absolutely perfect eye specimens for dissections, or when the students have secreted bits of kidneys in a cupboard and stunk out the whole room.. or anything else fun! they even freak out when i get live stick insects delivered to the school - they ring me to come down immediately to collect them because they are all scared of them!

Welcome Tekie,
I'm like Dime and use Chemtalk as my "kick the day off" heart starter (along with a cup of coffee)! This site has been my saviour, and the many wonderful people who input into this site are my extended family! I hope you enjoy Chemtalk as much as I do!

You might have noticed with names like Loopy & Sunray that to be a Labbie you have a head start if you are slightly CRAZY
