Industrial Chemistry

Post by rae »

Good afternoon,
For the first time this year we are doing Industrial chemistry as our elective topic for HSC chem. Does anyone have any ideas for practical assessment tasks that would go with this topic?

Any suggestions would be greatfully accepted.

Thanks Lorrae

OH no distillation. You need to use fractional and even yr 12 will make a real mess of this. Takes too long to set up, unless you can do it in groups.

Is equilibrium part of this topic? There are number of experiments on equilibrium.

We did the Fe3+ +SCN-
and Cromate/dichromate equilibrium as practical assessable.
With lots of written questions it worked quite well.We had only 22 students.
