Quick cheap plastic alternative gear

We have had some huge prac exams lately and I did not have enough beakers or other glassware.
so we decided to use some disposable items just for these situations. I know they are not environmentally friendly but for a few times a year I think we can excuse using them.
I bought the following in bulk from a local catering outlet:
plastic cups
cardboard cups
plastic souffe cups or plastic shot glasses [250 a sleeve for $7]
The soufle cups are great for small volumes and quantitites, for use in weighing small amounts of chemicals.
I bought the souffle cup lids also and I found the lids were a good tight fit so they don't allow any liquid to spill.
They are great to use for rockets using bicarb soda and vinegar, as it is now almost impossible to get hold of film canisters
Even if you do wash out and dry and reuse they are cheap quick and easy to use and clean.. saves all that glassware in the right situation.

Good idea. We use shot glasses for nail rusting experiments.
Saves lots of time trying to get the rust stains off the test tubes.
