User code dilemma

We sometimes use a pelleted slow release fertiliser for a solubilty comparison prac. Each group of students gets a small amount in a specimen container. My question is what user code should be given to products like this that are not listed in the CSIS (neither is it in the RiskAssess database)? Chemwatch SDS states it is hazardous/ non-dangerous.

Find out the main chemical, and go by the CSIS on that chemical, each brand is not listed in the CSIS. Say its 76% Ammonium Nitrate, will thats Years 11 & 12 ONLY, so orange dot. Do hope that all makes sense to you.

Thanks for that advice, it was what I suspected would be the appropriate course of action - even though it does not allow for any deleterious effects of exposure to the combination of chemical ingredients. As it turns out Ammonium nitate 32% (Chemwatch MSDS) = orange dot. I shall tell the HOD.
