• WHS and Me – The new Work Health and Safety Act of 2011 became effective on 1st January 2012 .This presentation will concentrate on the aspects of the new legislation, the roles and responsibilities of employers and employees and how it affects the workplace.
• GHS – GHS- Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. The GHS is legislated to be integrated into chemical manufacturing and trade processes in Australia over the period January 2012 to December 2016. Find out what you need to do to comply.
• ScienceASSIST - Science ASSIST is an innovative national online advisory service that provides timely, consistent and authoritative advice and support to school science educators and laboratory technicians. The National advisory team has collective experience in all disciplines of science and WH&S. This service is federally funded and freely available Australia wide to all schools, public and private, in all states and territories.
• Catch up and Q & A Session – This session will cover Risk Assess, an online risk assessment program, if requested. It will also give participants the opportunity to “pick the brains” of our team of experienced Labbies.

Don't know what weather is expected that far ahead but you could have sub-zero temps overnight. Then a pleasant day.
As to the venue, layers are the suggestion as it depends. If the heaters have been turned on early enough ( and are working) it can be rather warm but without heaters its chilly.

I am off to Canberra tomorrow for the weekend as we finish at 12, so that will give me an indicator of what to expect in Tamworth :thumbup:

Feedback was very positive ( except for the cold weather but we had no control over that !! )
People went away with a lot of information about WHS, GHS, and ScienceASSIST to share and implement into their schools

I agree with Wendy. It was an excellent day!

Thank you to all the ASET ladies for presenting a great program :clap3:

Do hope you can return soon, as I'm sure those who couldn't make it because of the road closures (due to snow & ice) would like to catch up, as well as the many more who will hear about it from those who were there.

Thankyou also to the SRG and local labbies for the local organisation. Much appreciated :clap3:
