Magnets

Post by karend »

Trying to source 'decent' magnets for general use. Have good neodymium magnets for seniors. Thinking buying Alnico, 75mm, strong (they say) from Haines. Any thoughts from you wonderful lot!

I have just bought the 75mm Alnico magnets from Science Supply, as recommended by another lab tech. They are fabulous. I was so over the useless magnets we had for our junior classes. From SSA they are $20 a pair.

We recently bought ours from serrata for $12.65 a pair haven't had them out with the kids yet but the teachers all seem impressed. Mind you after what they replaced the teachers would be impressed.

Have you tried Aussie Magnets? Their website is
http://aussiemagnets.com.au/
They have a huge range of magnets that can be ordered. I got some there a couple of months ago and they were very good. I got ferrite rings and a neodymium one as well
