Hi everyone,
I am just wondering if anyone of you organised Lab Assistants out there has ever made up their own listing from the csis package on "Disposal of Chemicals".
I currently check the csis package so that i know what to do with the waste, but my teachers have requested that I do them up a list for each science lab so that "they" know what to do with their waste.
I did check this site and found someone had put up a list that they use, but some of the advice contradicted the csis advice.
Can anyone out there save me a lot of time and effort?
Thanks.

Re: disposal of chemicals list
When I am back at work on Monday, (been off sick) I may have a list to help you. ON my labels I do from chemwatch, I do type (If I can a Disposal Number on the label) Silver Nitrate is D43, stored for collection. Which I put into a bottle marked, Silver. When if is full I put it for collection. Which when builds up we pay for that service. From the CSIS page 220 you will see Silver Nitrate. Right at the bottom of Silver nitrate right hand corner is a number 43, that is your waste Number. Do hope that helps you a little.

Hi Labbie
I think what you have done is a fantastic idea, but do you have an actual list of the chemicals and then the codes. Like you said...
silver nitrate = 43.
Thanks
