Via chemwatch, it has a flammable diamond as it has Ethanol in it.

thanks so much Labbie.
I've been using Risk Assess for labels (it's so easy and quick), but as yet, it doesn't do mixtures, so I got a bit stumped.
I should have gone straight to ChemWatch myself.
Appreciate your attachment... saves me from locating it.

Is there a Stock Standard Recipe for Phenolphthalein Indicator Solution for use in Schools? I have never made it before and my Methods folder has 2 different recipes and the above recipe (3.) is different again

1.1 g in 500ml dist water and 500ml Ethanol (1 litre)
2. 0.2g in 1 litre Methylated spirits
3. 2g in 600ml ethanol and 400ml distilled water

I just use the one from the Laboratory, which is listed above.
Incidentally, Riskassess has upgraded their labelling and you can now create your own labels.

They have a label for the indicator in the standard labels in Risk Assess

If you type in Phenolphthalein you will get a whole heap of choices including:

Phenolphthalein >0.1% wt/wt in ethanol 24-70% wt/wt

I have made all 3 but the third one is the best and has a good shelf life.
