Hi All,
Does anyone use the plastic squeeze bottles for their acids and bases? Do you have any issues with students doing silly things with them?
We are thinking about moving from dropper bottles to the squeeze ones but the temptation for students to squeeze them towards each other keeps flashing warning signs to me.
Thanks
Plastic squeeze bottles for acids and bases
Re: Plastic squeeze bottles for acids and bases
We have never had a problem with them, no contamination or spills. Haven't ever had students squirting them. The original lids were prone to cracking but the new ones are fine. We don't use glass dropper bottles anymore, haven't for years.

Re: Plastic squeeze bottles for acids and bases
Unfortunately we have had occasions where the students have decided to squeeze HCl at each other. They also tend to push the stuhl lids down instead of twisting them, which has broken most of our lids. Currently in the process of changing from plastic droppers back to amber bottles
