With the new efficient globes, what are people using for heat lamps?
We were using the old microscope spotlights, but I am having trouble finding 240V 25W 22BC globes.

We didn't end up getting any, but we looked at the lamps they sell for reptile enclosures. We were looking on the Kmart website.

Those Petbarn lamps are ideal 
( I used a couple of them to keep some Beer warm during fermenting ) 
but be aware that they are Edison screw and won’t fit your standard Aussie Bayonet light socket . So you will basically have to get a whole new setup . Also , because of the heat , the sockets need to be ceramic , not the standard Edison screw for light bulbs .
If you have some old PAR 8 spotlight lamp fittings , they will make great holders for those reptile lamps .
