microscope camera?

Post by Berrygem »

Hi, anyone has a microscope camera they can recommend?
looking for a teacher friendly one :cheesy:
Attach to stereo, mono and binocular scopes. We then change the eyepiece for the camera and the view can be shared.
Was hoping for one wireless and the teacher can have it on her laptop to display on the white board and share/download pics to students. The feedback from reps is the the usb ones are simpler to use. Can you have ones which use native pc software on have to go to the IT dept...... :-(
Some have reviews that a reduced field of vision is a problem (or do people not know how to use them?). the depth of focus can be poor...
Can the teacher get the image and share it without too much it knowledge?
thanks in advance if anyone has a great setup to share, Carrie

The best camera we had was an old composite video camera (CVBS....the one with the Yellow plug) that teachers could plug into the smart board r projector .Easy peasy and it was still going after 15 years .

Then we got some USB cameras . Was nothing but IT nightmare as our school would force windows reimaging every 6-12 months and the software had to be installed manually .Then the software become incompatible .... what a waste . They got used about 3 times .

Have you coincided iPhone adapters .
This place sells them for $59.95

You could cast the pics to smartboard or share the files .
At least you are not dependent of IT dept or software support drying up .
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

We bought a microscope camera from Edusupplies 5 yrs ago. We still use it and works well. They are not selling same model which we have but(Looks like the technology got so much better now days!). Please ask them, they have good customer service team.

Also we have some phone adapter as well from Saxon. They are good but the teacher have to check the focus for each students so he prefer the microscope camera and connect to the big screen.
