Hi all,
I've got a couple of Hodson light boxes that are giving really divergent beams even when using the narrow single slit former.
I can't see anything obviously different between them and the light boxes that are throwing out a nice straight beam of light that I could adjust to fix it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Stating the obvious , but have you loosened the knob that holds the lens and slid it back and forward to see how it effects the beam ?

check that the filament in the globes runs vertically. They do not work if you use a globe with a horizontal filament.
