Hi Julie,

I have an article out of Teaching Science from 2005 that talks about motor effect.
I can fax this to you if you give me your number.
It uses a battery,a lenght of connecting wire, a super magnet and a steel screw with a flat head.

There's a video of the battery/screw/super magnet motor on the web. Look up Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories. Lots of wierd, science nerd, never-sees-daylight, type stuff, but there are gems amongst the chaff.

Cheers, K 8-)
