Re: YR 12 prac exam Earth & Environmental Science
Hi Sassi,
Last year we did a titration (you love them don't you?) of unknown salt solutions. I adjusted the % salt to a titration of 15-20 mLs 0.1M silver nitrate, and the indicator was potassium chromate. They had 50mL samples. They had done it earlier as a prac.
We also had soil samples, and they did pH and soil texture.
Hope this helps, Ellice
PS What does the B in Mr B stand for? Not a swear word I hope!!

Thanks Ellice,
But this is Mr B we are talking about, somehow I don't think a titration would be a good option with him, I can just see it in front of me, broken burettes and spilled chemicals And I would be very surprised if he even knew how to do it himself! Oh and yeah I hate titrations
But the soil samples sounds good, not much can go wrong there, right?
B is the first of 12 letters in his surname, its so long I gave up trying to remember how to spell it, so I shortened it to B. Although since Kristin said it I have accidently called him Mr Bean a few times

Ya-a-a-ay!
Glad to have made a positive contribution to your vocabulary Sassi. I note with interest there are others on this forum who now refer to their students as "little cherubs". Aaah. It's so fulfilling to have achieved something in life.
