I am about to prepare for DNA extraction and have not used the "meat tenderiser" practical before. What is 'meat tenderiser' (powdered kind) and where can I buy it? Thank you for any help.

Re: Meat Tenderiser
I got my meat tenderiser from the "Spice" section at Woolies, from memory. It is made by Masterfoods, (or similar) I think and comes in a little spice bottle. It is just called "Meat Tenderiser" and breaks down the protein strands.
