ESSA - tell me what you know
ESSA - tell me what you know
I am dealing with this for the first time, I have been informed that all the stuff has arrived!!!
Re: ESSA - tell me what you know
How come this is your responsibility? Isn't it a science test, therefore the function of the teachers to implement it?
Re: ESSA - tell me what you know
i just had to check the materials...they send pencils with the papers and stimulus booklets.
we have enough to cover everyone
the staff / science teachers will be implementing. ESSA seems to be a big deal?

Re: ESSA - tell me what you know
It is a state wide science test for 7-10. Not sure if it is to highlight if science is being taught in context.
Re: ESSA - tell me what you know
I have had this task also.
You should have a number of sheets of paper with instructions. (Hint: don't misplace)
Instructions are straight forward, so, don't panic.
Check contents of boxes same as on list.
I had to get class lists and supply according to those.
When all are collected, keep following instructions.
I had to do tally sheets and send off as well.
Another talent for the resume
Good luck
Rita

Re: ESSA - tell me what you know
True True, but some times we do get asked to check the contains of the boxes. I know I have done it a few years ago, and again this year. Just check you have enough papers, pens & booklets for all of your year 8, lock them away, until 23 Nov 2010.

Re: ESSA - tell me what you know
We keep them for use throughout the next year for the myriad of kids that neglect to bring a pencil to school.
