microscope servicing/repair, dataloggers and workshops

I am wondering if any labbies in North Queensland know of any Microscope repair/servicing technicians in our area? We are trying to set up some inservice workshops and one of the possibilities suggested was the microscope repair/servicing.
Another topic suggested was a data logging workshop, has anyone had an inservice at their school on this topic?
If anyone has any ideas or contacts for workshops that were interesting and valuable that they have attended that might give us other possibilities, your suggestions would be appreciated as well.
In fact any contacts of people who might be willing to travel "Out West" would be most appreciated!

Hey Pilar,

We use SunCoast Optical up here in Cairns. They service a lot of mining/surveying equipment too. Maybe you could ask at the mines or a surveying company out there where they get their gear serviced? Maybe they have a tech who could run an IS day for you?
