"The Laboratory"- manual

Post by malook »

Is it possible to get the author of "the Laboratory" that is so often quoted? I would love a copy and have not been able to find where to get hold of one. I hope someone can help :?

How does this book compare to DET's Working in Science? Are they basically the same? I have a copy of the DET book - over 12 years old - and am wondering if I need to update.

Thanks

"The Laboratory" is far superior to the Working in Science.

It doesn't have the pictures at the back which are invaluable when you first start working in Science and need to know whet you are asked for looks like but it does have an incredible range of recipes for just about any indicator, solution media you can get asked for as well as a lot of very valuable information about chemicals and how to make up the solutions.

An important book to have on your shelf, it has got me out of trouble on many, many occasions.
