Labelling and Safe Work Australia

Post by Lyn »

Can someone who has the know how please retrieve my post on labelling from the Conc Acid topic and post it under a new heading of - Labelling and Safe Work Australia. I would be most grateful. I saved it as a draft and changed the title before trying to post it as a new topic but that didn't work.

Thanks in anticipation,
Lyn.

If you want to check about relabelling, Google the following: Labelling of Workplace Hazardous Chemicals - then go down the list and click on the site that is Safe Work Australia. You should be able to download a pdf or a word document that was produced in 2011. It is a code of practice for hazardous materials and should give you an indication as to what you need to have on your replacement labels. There is also information for labelling decanted chemicals and labelling waste chemicals. Probably a document that should be hard copy for ease of access rather than opening up the computer every time you need to reference it.

The 'Labelling of Workplace Hazardous Chemicals' Code of Practice is the current one even though it is dated 2011, this is the one we use!
