Buckyball

Post by Ocean Breeze »

Anyone know a good website where I can find a paper template so the students can make buckyballs? The texts that yr 11 are using suggest a website for the pattern download , but the site no longer exists.

We usually drag out the plasticine , polystyrene balls and toothpicks as well.
Any other ideas are welcome...

Thanks chsc..
the first few links (1 st on the google search) are no longer valid... I should have persevered down to the 3 rd option.
So here it is

http://mathforum.org/alejandre/workshops/bucky.net.html

All thats required is sticky tape, scissors, and a bit of creative folding :-)
